Our Washington, DC Team

Operations Associate
Emily is the Operations Associate at Industrious. After spending 5 years working in event operations and customer service for 2 startup businesses, Emily knows that where there is growth there is aliveness, engagement, and passion. While earning her BS in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, she co-managed an award-winning studio gallery and cafe on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. After, she pursued her desire to be in Washington D.C. where she served on the front of a leadership strategy team Collaborative-Thinking. Emily derives a pleasure in her successful handling of what to others are boring details. Outside of Industrious, she's probably stretching on a mat with her dogs while the Star Wars Saga plays in the background.

Community Manager
Jarrod is the Community Manager at Industrious Washington, D.C. An alum of Howard University, Jarrod worked to sustain connections between NPR’s listening audience and its newsroom before moving on to host weddings, conferences, and other special events at a nonprofit arts and culture startup in D.C’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. His passion for creating personalized guest experiences led him to Industrious. When he’s not serving members of the Industrious community, Jarrod supports the career and professional development of local high school students interested in STEAM fields.
